Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE to systematically foster the culture of Innovation and start-up ecosystem in higher education institutions. The primary goal of this council is to inspire, encourage and nurture the young students for different activities involved in pre-incubation, incubation and making successful start-ups.
In 2024, RLJIT and the Indian government's Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) partnered to form the "MHRD's Institution's Innovation Council (IIC)" to support various initiatives pertaining to innovation, intellectual property rights (IPR), start-ups, and entrepreneurship. IIC members include both teachers and students. Every quarter, the IIC cell organizes quarterly meetings to plan and evaluate the actions carried out during that time. Students are able to take part in a variety of innovation-related competitions and initiatives run by MHRD as a result of these activities. Students engage in active interaction with distinguished academics and businessmen. They are given chances to develop their concepts. Through the IIC at RLJIT, students can experiment with the newest technology and obtain several prototypes to boost their confidence. Overall, from conception to launch, students are immersed in a very healthy atmosphere.
